  1. Dashboard "yesterday"

I would like a dashboard pull down that gives me the ability to easily enter results for yesterday rather than today. Useful when I miss updating the app before bedtime.

  2. Calendar overerview for habits

I would like to see a monthly calendar that displays the status of my habit tracker (or x per y tracker). Currently the most I can see is the past week, so I can't see any larger trends of improvement or identify other patterns (eg. I always fail on Thursdays). The dashboard and stats are nice, but I prefer having that data in front of me on a calendar.

  3. Turn habit off on certain days

I for example try to get up within 20 minutes. On Sundays I get all the time I want, so this habit could be paused for that day. I know I can simply refrain from making a log that day, but I would like it if the dashboard in any way showed I didn't have to take care of it at all.

The Today Widget is live! :)

Note: if you see “No Trackers to DIsplay” (very rare), we’re working on that now. If you notice a pattern, or figure out a setting that was causing it, please let us know. Have a great day!

  5. Landscape mode

Please add Landscape Mode. It would make it a lot easier!

  6. Add better data to habit tracker

So that it says, done 3 times per week and 1 time below goal, and not only 0% success rate for all time, and 3/4 for this week.

I want to know how often I'm doing it over time, not just for this week.

NOTE: This would tie in to another user's idea of having a custom goal like do x times per y days. It should show the frequency as you've done it I times per I days on average, not just per that week, etc.

  7. In calendar view, "grey out" days where the task is NOT scheduled

I would be helpful, in the calendar view, to see days that are not planned. Perhaps you can put a grey circle (similar to the green and red circles) over days where the habit is not needed... for example I have a habit that doesn't apply on Tuesdays and Thursdays... if would be helpful to see grey circles over all Tuesdays and Thursdays in the month.

The app can be very powerful if it had reporting and exporting capability, great for sharing status!

  9. Group trackers by tag

Currently we can view the progress or dashboard of trackers linked to particular tag. This is great help to check if we have done the important tags first.
Similar view or option to group the trackers per tag can be helpful in data entry window too. This way while checking the pending tasks for today , I can check the important tags first and clear them off.

Now you can filter by tag on the Reports tab and the Today tab! We decided to do this instead of grouping with all trackers shown at once, because it’s easier to filter and focus on one tag than to scroll up and down to find separate groups.

  10. Why? For staying motivated.

After reviewing my new habit targets, which continue to elude me, I coincidentally pulled up a photo of my 5 year old son, sitting in his Mom's lap while they read the Mother's Day card he made for her. I went back to my habits and thought: "for them." Difficult to convey the emotion that thought contains, which I share only to say that I am very motivated, determined to follow through today. And then I thought that it would be helpful to have space to write and clearly see the answer to the Why? question. And, actually, to post…

  11. Weekly goals on dashboard

Rather than showing an average or daily average on the dashboard, I'd like to see the total for the current period. Imagine goals like:

    Bill 30 hours each week
    Call 12 customers each month
    Read 5 books this year

What is relevant in each of these goals is not one's average performance, but how far you are towards completing a discrete goal.

You already show this on the goal detail, but I'd like to see this on the goal listing. This is actually what I would use for every goal in Strides.

You can now see your progress for the current day/week/month/year for Average trackers, right on the Dashboard!

To do that, set Show on Dashboard to “This week”, for example, and that tracker will show the total logged for this week. Enjoy!

  12. Days should start at 4am

If I floss my teeth at 12:03am on Tuesday, it shouldn't count toward Tuesday...if should count toward Monday. Same if I have a cocktail at 12:03. Start a new day at 4am. That way, Late night activity is attributed to the proper day.

  14. Reminders view to manage all notifications in one place

A page dedicated to managing all your alerts. See all of them and what goal they are tied to. Edit them right there. Though they'll can still be created the normal way too. I have a lot of goals so there are a lot of alerts. But right now you have to go to each goal to see its alert which is a bit frustrating. You accidentally choose times that are the same. Then you have to go edit it., etc.

  15. Swipe to check!

Swipe to the left (or short swipe to the right; long swipe to reveal options) to check an habit. Now I have to tap at least 3 times to have something checked, what a boring routine it is to check 10 habits a day!
Mailbox and Clear rely a lot on swiping and I think that it would suit Strides perfectly as well.

  16. Today View in iOS?

any thoughts on if // when we'll get a widget in the "Today" view in the iOS notification area (swipe down from top of screen to see) across mobile, tablet, desktop?

most habit apps let you see that day's due habits "@ a glance" and "tap the checkbox to log".

Coach.me and Goal Streaks = 2 that come to mind.

  17. Habits based on Time of Day

It’d be awesome to only show certain habits in certain parts of the day—say you want to meditate every morning before work— and you don’t want to be able to just cram it in before bed. This way you’d only see habits that are relevant to the current moment

  18. iOS 12: Integrate with Siri Shortcut

The new iOS 12 has been announced and I envision how this app can be part of this!

Now that Apple is pushing forward with simple voice command, how about allowing user to set command to initiate key habits? Or to count Number or set progress Goal? This can be on either iPhone or Apple Watch

    For example:
-Say, “I drank X glass of water” would add X glass of water drank (habit)
-Say, “I went to the gym” and it would act as “Yes” to your gym tracker (habit)
-Say , “I finished meditating” would count as +1 to…

Strides now has Siri Shortcuts, so you can set a custom phrase to mark a Habit as done with your voice. :)

We’re hoping Apple will add support for numerical input in iOS 13, which would allow us to add support for logging goal with Siri too.

  19. Vacation/Skip Days

Allow a third "skip" option for when the day doesn't allow for that tracker to be relevant, but you don't want to break your streak. Some habits or goals don't apply or aren't possible when you're out of town.

  20. Seinfeld chain - Do not show days that are not included in the tracking

Let say you commit to workout on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Despite selecting M,W,F you will have to enter T,Th and S. Thus, you will have some red on your tracking record which is not good on a subconscious level (diminish the reward)

Like wonderful days or good habit apps, the series should only be one colored to encourage the user not to break the chain!

    Seinfeld would explain it better.
