  1. Time-Table like Daily View

Show a time-table like view for the daily view tab, basically a view that shows next log time alongside the checklist item. It’ll help get an idea “when” the next upcoming tasks are, not just “what”. e.g. If I have set the log time for “Play guitar” as 9 pm on Monday, I would want that alongside the checklist task for guitar being shown on Monday. That will help me get an advance idea of what have I planned next (in case I’m done with my chores and wondering what to do next), instead of getting to know that by…

  3. Note Templates

As a paying customer i make strides everyday using your app. To keep consistent is so important and having some sort of template feature in notes section would really enhance my ability to stay consistent and keep paying for strides.

  4. Tag

User should have the option if tags should be listed as a dropdown (the way it is now), or it should be pinned in the form of buttons on top of the dashboard (for easier access) so we don’t need to click and select the dropdown every single time we want to mark an item.

Thanks for reaching out! Pinning the tags would create a lot of clutter in the interface, especially with lots of tags. If I get another request for this I’ll reopen and merge them.

  5. Ability to mark daily goal as not applicable on a certain day

Say I have a goal of going for a 15 minute walk outside every day, but on a specific day it rains. I’d like to be able to mark that day as "not applicable" instead of completing the goal, which would not paint a correct picture, or leaving it uncompleted and ruining my streak.

    From the FAQ:

Is there a way to “Skip” a log?

No, and this is very intentional, based on lots of research. Why? In short, because it hurts way more than it helps. We’ve tested it out, and hundreds of studies have confirmed our findings: Relying on willpower in the moment is a terrible strategy for building lasting habits. Once our brain makes the connection that “skipping” something has no negative effect (e.g. You go on vacation and skip a work out, but it doesn’t reset your Streak or affect your Success Rate), it becomes far too easy to skew your stats and the entire system breaks down.

So what do you do if you are on vacation or sick? The best option is to attempt to do the habit, even if it’s not to the same level you usually do, and log Yes since the act of keeping…

  6. Show time for today’s planned things

Where all that’s planned for today, show what time each thing is planned for, instead of having to click it to see beforehand, so we don’t have to 100% depend on the reminder.

  7. One-Time Tasks

I have used almost every productive / tracker app there is and Strides is by far the best but in my opinion it lacks this one simple tool. Strides has become my calendar app and if I could add in random tasks as well it would remove the need for me to switch to my calendar app at all. I'm aware that Strides is not trying to be a Calendar app but this simple addition would allow me to have an overview of EVERYTHING I need to do that day including the little tasks like remembering to "Pay a bill"…

  8. Show how many days are left

Show on homescreen how many days are left to complete a goal.

For example I want to read 52 books before Dec 31 it would be awesome to see how many days are left.

  14. Time Tracking

I’ve seen this ideas been proposed but declined I only wondered why and maybe it could be reconsidered.

It would be great if a actual time could be recorded, I would like to track the time my day starts. For me I feel that many of my habits fail or succeed based on the time that I get my day started.

Ability to track time would show me any correlation between success and failure and the time I get going.

    Thanks

Thanks for reaching out! The reason this was declined is because tracking the time of day is very complex for charting, and doesn’t fit the data model for the tracker types.

As for the experience, if the time on the clock matters, and being late doesn’t count, then it’d be best to use a Habit tracker and log Yes if you do it on time, rather than tracking the time itself (since the History table already shows the exact time logged).

    Hope that helps!
    Kyle

  15. Default reminder to “off” when creating new trackers

When creating new Trackers it would be helpful if the app preferences provided a way to set the default state of the “Reminder” setting to “off”
Currently, I have to manually disable it for each new Tracker that I create.

  16. Change order of habits depending on day of the week

It would be helpful if we could order our habits differently for every day of the week. For example, let’s say I prefer to workout in the morning on Monday, but in the evening on Wednesday. I could have my exercise habit be farther down the list on Wednesdays in the “today” section.

  17. For “Target Goals” enable color flip

For habit goals we are given the choice of setting the goal to limit number of times/day or exceed a given amount. This way we can include habits we’re trying to develop or extinguish. If we are successful in achieving our habit goal, the bar is green. If not, the bar is red.

Can we have similar flexibility when we set up “Target Goals”?

This would be very useful for tracking monthly allowances. This could be financial, but not necessarily.

A specific example: I start the month with an allowance of 90. I want this…

  18. Please add fasting as a health habit.

And a facility to indicate stat or stop time so it calculates hours would be helpful. And sometimes the fasting can straddle days. Thanks for a great app

  19. Tracking option: Drop-down menu

Example: exercise daily is the goal. A drop-down menu would allow you to choose the type of exercise you did that day, within that single exercise goal. User could populate their "exercise options list" in settings. This would allow for greater continuity, when a single goal category (exercise) has different but similar contributing possibilities (yoga, pilates, hot yoga).

  20. Label right side of graph

Can you add the labels to the right side of the graph? My graph has 3 years of data plotted, and it’s a little cumbersome to eyeball the new plots that are on the right side of the graph to the labels on the left side of the chart. So I’m asking there to be both left side and right side labels.
