  2. Habit: Rolling

Currently just track by day, week or month and at the end of each month it resets the count.

For example I had completed something 27 times in a row and at the start of November it reset to zero as its a new month. I want to view how many times I've done something since I began it

This use case is much better handled with the Rolling Average setting on the Average tracker type than with the Habit type. It covers just about everything that's been requested here, and adjusting the Habit tracker in this way would be too complex, so we're sticking with the Rolling Average feature.

  3. Integration with IFTTT

IFTTT integration would allow us so many connectivity options!
From simple stuff like, "Add an entry to a Google spreadsheet every time i successfully complete this habit" to more aesthetic things like, "If all my goals were met today, make the Phillips Hue lights do a rainbow color gradient."

  5. Show a weekly view

It would be nice to see a weekly view which would show the list of the habits scheduled on each day so I know if I can add more habits on that day or if I added too many habits in one day.

  6. Setting for what time day starts

I would like to choose when my day starts, instead of the default 'at midnight'.
I'm a bit of a night owl, so I stay up late and tend to sleep in. This constantly makes it seem like I'm behind on my goals, even when I'm not.

This idea was suggested before the Today tab was launched. That view was custom built to make it super easy to backlog, so if you stay up past Midnight it’s as easy as tapping yesterday to log anything you hadn’t logged before the date changed.

  7. Tag Colors

Allow for color tabs to be used with goal categories and/or descriptions.

  9. Reminders based on Pace

Say your goal is to practice yoga on average 3 times per week. When you get 3/7ths of the way through your week, if you haven't logged a yoga session then you get a notification saying "you need to do some yoga in order to keep up!", but if you have already logged a yoga session then you don't get a notification. Essentially you can then focus on avoiding getting notifications by keeping ahead of your habits.

Check out Waterlogged for a simple example.

  10. Ability to Set End Date for Archived Habits

When a habit is moved to the archive, we should be able to set a date the tracking is stopped.
I like the data I used to have about % of days I accomplished the habit, but as time passes and I am no longer logging it because it has been replaced and is in the archive, the data is diluted by months of inactivity that is factored into the percentage. By archiving the habit, I want to preserve that data for the active period, not lose it to time.

  11. Units

As a user, it would be helpful if I could track my goals in the units I would prefer. For instance, if could track the drink water goal in ounces of water drank instead of number of times per day.

You can use the Average tracker type to track in any unit you want. e.g. Ounces of water, rather than times per day with the Habit tracker.

While Strides doesn't display units throughout the UI, this is done intentionally to reduce clutter and simplify the interface since you can still include the unit in the tracker name.

  12. Priority & Sorting

Assign a priority value (1-10) for tasks. Allow auto sorting with highest priority incomplete tasks at the top. Completed tasks should always fall to the bottom. Should still keep the manual sort for those that want it though.

  13. Stretch Goals

There are some things, like reading, that I really want to do at least x times a week, but it would be great to do y times a week. I'd like to be able to set hard goals (mechanics as they are now) and then a stretch goal. If I'm on track to meet my stretch goal for the week, the line is green; if I'm on track to meet my hard goal, but not my stretch goal, the line is yellow; if I'm not on track at all, it's red. Percentage completion and streaks wouldn't suffer from failing to…

  14. Track multiple variables for a single task

So for example, my task is meditation and I want to track not just that I've performed it, but also the length of time that I meditated for and the quality of the meditation and how I felt afterwards.

To have the ability to have multiple custom fields that take a numerical input. Basically a custom form that takes a number.

  16. Customizable End-of-Day Cutoff

Currently, "today" is defined in the app as ending at midnight in whatever time zone your iPhone settings dictate.

It would be great if this could be adjustable within the app so that the "end of day" could be set to, for example, 2am.

Who'd use this? I know for me as a nurse, I work late shifts often and my day doesn't end until 2 or 3 am. I'm sure many other shift-workers, students, and parents of young kids would find value in this too.

It's hard to keep track of goals that span the whole day, especially ones…

  18. Randomly Generated Alerts

Setting for alerts to randomly notify you within a specific time window (just so it doesn't tell you to drink water at 3am!) - that way you can't get used to/ignore regularly scheduled alerts since you won't know what's coming!

  20. Teams

I'd like to be able to use multiple log ins across multiple devices so that a team could view and track progress on a goal.
(Ex: A sales team of 20 needs to reach a weekly sales Goal, I'd like to for all of them to able to update and view the tracker and the log show which member updated, and when)
