  1. Improve account creation for submitting ideas

I wrote my idea out 3 times before I could post.
    1) it asks me to log in. I was confused because I’m logged in so I clicked the top left button to see what my email is. Lost what I wrote.
    2) I created an account. Guess what it takes me out of this site-in-app thing after u was done.
    3) rewrote and logged in. Although it was confusing af cause it asked for a password and I hadn’t set one yet.

Thanks for reaching out! We use a service called UserVoice for this so unfortunately there's nothing we can do to improve their account creation process. They have you create an account before submitting/voting to keep an accurate count of votes and notify people of progress made on their ideas.

  2. Access Strides via Web Browser 🙏

Hi! currently using the Strides app on iphone - awesome app! Any chance it would be available on the web/browser (Edge, Chrome, Safari, etc)? Thanks!

  3. Today screen view

When Home Screen is set for the Today view, have the first day of the week be your chosen first day of the week. As it stands now the first day of the week is just whatever the current day is which removes the ability to see context in the week you are in

The Today tab defaults to today, which is on the far right because Strides is focused on progress, not the future. If we showed today on the far left then you couldn't see the past week's progress.

  4. HTML version of app

I'm on a PC 8 hours+ a day, and many of my habits are work-based and accomplished while doing so. I'd like to be able to quickly pull up a web page and log my habits.

  6. Reports should ignore current day

The current day, with incomplete trackers, distorts the report percentages. It should be ignored.

  7. Show tags in sidebar

I think tags would be much easier to use if they appeared in the sidebar on macOS and iPad instead of the dropdown menu at the top.

Similar to tags in the left hand pane on Finder, Gmail, or playlists on the left in Apple Music.

  8. White label app for coaches

    WHITE LABEL app for coaches.

If you could give us the ability to use all of the strides functionality, but allow us to put our company or coaching logo branding on it, and t give us the ability to check in on our clients progress, it would be a huge value add. You could charge quite a bit for it as it’s for business use, and it would be incredibly helpful for businesses. I’d be your first subscriber!

  9. Google Calendar Integration

I use the Project feature in Strides for one-time tasks as a hack. This way I can use Strides for all of my planning needs which is GREAT. However... Google Calendar is my main calendar app and I'm not looking to replace it because it is the best and everything else already integrates with it. I would like to see Strides sync with Google Calendar, this is by far its biggest shortcoming for me as I currently have to manually duplicate all my Strides tasks/goals/habits into Google Calendar in order to have a complete picture of my day.

    The Summit…

  10. Snooze alerts till later in the day

In Strides you can set up Trackers that are Due Any Time, Morning, Afternoon or Evening.
Sometimes, I have reminders pop up for Slides trackers that I know I won't do until later in the day.
It would be great to be able to "Snooze" the alert until later that day - i.e. Snooze until the Afternoon, or the Evening.

  11. Graph of what my big hairy goal was made up of

I am using Strides to track my goal of piano practicing 10,000 hours by 2040.
I would love to have a pie graph of what my hours were made up of: did I play scales, sight read, research composers, improv, study harmony, compose music, ear training? I suppose I might have an “other/unspecified” for if I didn’t categorize. This would be great for reflecting back on my work, and I would use it to informally adjust my time (at least 10% sight reading, no more than 15% watching child protégés on YouTube lol)

I would also like to be able…

  12. Visual indication of habits missing logs in top date row

In the top row of horizontally scrolling date circles, it would be nice to visually distinguish days that have remaining habits left to log.

Use case: Every day I tap the last 2 or 3 dates to make sure I didn’t forget to log any items. A dot, color, badge, or some indicator would be useful to draw attention to days that have unlogged habits.

  13. All widgets have option to filter on tag

I’d like to filter the Due and Compact Due widgets by a tag.

Currently you can see filtered trackers for a tag large.

Or you can see ALL trackers due large or compact.

Bu you CANT see compact filtered trackers. Or filtered due trackers.

It seems like the number of widgets could be reduced if you added options for ‘show due only’ and ‘compact display’ and ‘filter on tag’.

  14. Adding sections

Adding sections to the Today list: "Today", "This Week", "This Month"

    For example:

    Today:
    - reading (0/1 today)
    - workout (0/1 today)
    This Week:
    - run (0/3 this week)
    - smoothie (0/5 this week)
    This Month:
    - dinner with friends (0/8 this month)

This is possible with Tags & Filters, so we aren’t going to complicate the Today list’s sections by breaking Due into time periods. One big issue with this approach is that it doesn’t work with Target and Project tracker types.

  15. cross-platform app

PLEASE make a cross-platform app since I must switch from being an iPhone user to now being an android user for various reasons. I am VERY sad to see strides disappear from my phone! :-(

  16. Grouping of sub categories/alternatives, any of which could satisfy a goal

Ability to have more than one way to satisfy a goal, yet keep sub-goal counts. Easier to give example.

Workout. Could be a long bike ride, a run, time lifting weights at the gym, a full day of skiing, etc. As long as I do at least ONE of the subcategories then the goal is achieved.

As it is now, I have to pick an activity and set up a specific goal for that activity. So I use cycling, weight lifting, running. But I have to create a x/period goal to track it.

    The point is I don’t care how…

  17. Custom Fields so I only need 1 Exercise Goal

Apps like Asana or ClickUp make it simple to graph or color bar charts by type. I would love to have custom or predetermined fields where I can enter what type of excercise I did.

This way I could track all my exercise in one goal to see overall health and identify trends with other goals.

  18. Personal Best Tracker

For things like running, can there be tracking and a personal best. For instance, the times for all 5Ks and tracking the best as the goal to beat.

  19. Custom Routines

M-A-E is a great idea. Can we stretch it further? There are few Routines that become necessary as the seasons change. We in India have 6 seasons, elsewhere may be 4. Charaka Samhita is a treasure of such Seasonal Routines. May be you may think of adding this option of setting up Seasons (depending on where one lives) and then allow them to setup Routines that are needed to be done during change of such seasons.
