Lifetime-member..!?
Need a membership for lifetime. Really want to pay for that instead for a year
1 voteWe can’t do this for everyone, but if you email me through stridesapp.com/faq.html I can create a special lifetime deal for you. :)

Coaching
I downloaded a bunch off apps to help with tracking goals and setting habits. Strides is by far the easiest and visually appealing app but Coach.me is really nice because you can read what other people may be struggling with and also the encouragement from a coach is really nice to continue with my goals. I hope you all consider adding something like this in the future.

Create goals with different outcomes each day/week
Example:
- goal going to the gym: Monday/Wednesday/Friday are planned for a yes answer, other days are planned as rest day for a no answer
- goal take contraceptive: 21 consecutive days yes, 7 consecutive days no
- goal take medical treatment: breakfast yes, lunch no, dinner yes1 voteThis can be accomplished with workarounds in the settings and how/when you log, so we’re not planning to add so much complexity for rare cases. Thanks for the feedback though!

Change type
The ability to change type. For example good habit that you check once every day to a specific if it’s target, average, amount.
1 voteWe can’t change the type from one to another because their data models are completely different, but it’s pretty quick to create a new tracker and backlog.

Daily tasks: Specific goals for specific days
Hi
It would be treat to add a simple notes function. This would be for when you have a set of tasks that are just for that one day. It might be the groceries you need to buy or a reminder to send an email to a customer.
I know that Apple has its own notes app - I would rather integrate with Strides than keep separate apps, and also track my progress in actually competing these daily tasks.
The notes would be easy to use - you could tick or cross them like any other goal but they would…
1 voteThanks for the feedback! I totally understand wanting to consolidate apps, which is what we’re doing by consolidating Tasks, Calendar Events, Reminders & Notes with SummitDayPlanner.com.
That said, it’s far too much to pack into Strides, but between the two apps it’ll be all you need to manage your day and achieve your goals.
If you’re interested in early access, we’ll be running a Beta for Summit very soon, so enter your email to be notified when it’s ready.
Have a great day!

Deeplink shortcuts/ Active links
Most of my behaviors are actually managed in other apps, ex: my read behavior leads me to open the kindle app. If it says study bible, I always open the bible app. Food journal again another app. It would be nice to be able to click the strides notification and it auto opens that app, and takes me right to that spot. I’ve tried using the workflow app and putting the shortcut link in notes, but links don’t work in notes
1 voteWe’re solving this with direct integrations through the APIs of other services.

“Yellow” days/exempt days
There needs to be a way to track a day in yellow. I follow the No-S Diet and there are days that are exempt from the dietary rules I normally follow. I need a way to track those as well and in the book it is suggested to track them in yellow. This app needs that feature.

Cooler IOS app icon
I want Strides to be home screen worthy but its current icon just isn’t.

Status bar colour
You’re could have a status bar that gradually changes from red to green to show progress instead of being red even at 90%.
1 voteThe Pace line is an extremely important part of the motivation to stay on track. If you’re 90% done and the bar is red, that means you’re behind pace. If the goal is too challenging, it’s easy to change and make the bar green. If you’re able to catch up, it’s incredibly motivating and satisfying to see the bar change from red to green. :)

Option to measure a range of time for a goal
I think it would be nice to have the option of setting a goal as a range. This way I can stay on track for my goals and stay balanced, so I don't spend to much time on one goal.
For example, I am trying to set a habit to get at least eight hours of sleep. And when I do, the bar on my chart turns green, but it also turns green when I accidentally sleep for eleven hours.
Getting too much sleep isn't healthy, so I'd like to set a range of hours. This way it will turn…
1 voteThanks for the suggestion! This is something we’ve thought through before, but it’s far too complex (in terms of setup and development) to justify since everything is generally better if it’s higher or lower.
I agree that too much of even a good thing can be bad, but if it’s genuinely a good thing it’s typically difficult or time-constrained, which means our natural tendency is not to do it, creating a natural barrier to doing it too much.

For each habit on the dashboard, show date of the most recent "yes" logged
I want to know at a glance if I should log something for the day.
I sometimes can't remember if I logged today's yes or no, especially for daily tasks, so I end up checking the calendar of logs most of the time. If I see that nothing has been logged today I then log it, but I'd rather not have to do this.1 voteThe Logged status icon solves this problem without all the extra clutter.

Custom icons!
Custom icons and color coding will help with the organization of trackers. Emojis do not count! Emojis are not clean, user friendly, or organizational.

Reminder X days before due OR weekly
If I said I want to complete something by the end of the month, I could set a reminder for, say, 7 days before it’s due so I don’t forget. OR maybe once per week until it’s due. But i don’t need daily.
