Assign multiple habits to a specific goal
Functionality covered by Tags & Filters feature, and the Progress Reports feature on the way will make it even better!

The designers should take a look at an old Windows application called Goal Pro. It contains most of the functionality that I wan from a goal setting app.

As the previous stated, having the ability to create a second or third type of routine would be quite helpful. It would be really helpful to have a temp list to track the unexpected tasks we need to integrate into our daily routine. Hopefully this can be added without undermining the clean and simple presentation and function of the app.

This is really what I have been looking for in various Tracking app! E.g. I would like to have an overall Exercise goal of to exercise for 1 hour a day, 5 days a week, breaking it down to specific type of exercises that I would like to track as well, E.G.
1. Running 2 x per week for 30 minutes, with an additional distance goal that I would like to achieve by a certain date.
2. Walking 2 x per week - goal to be specified in both duration and/or distance.
3. BodyTec 1 x per week - goal to be specified in times per week and duration
4. Etc.The 'sub-habit' goal should add up to the main goal and actuals should be logged under sub-habits as duration and/ or distance. This should then add up to the actual of the main goal.
'Hope this makes sense?

This would be so helpful for building routine/ritual, adding habits in a sequence: strengthen one, tie the next one to the strength of the first, etc. I have chains of habits that I am trying to build at specific times of day, and while I currently use the tags feature, my dashboard would become WAY too cluttered if I added the smaller pieces of my routines.

This could be accomplished along with "steps to the goal" - the basic idea for is the ability to create layers/hierarchies/embedded steps. This would ALSO help with cleaning up the dashboard. For example, I could have one goal on the dashboard for "settle into new house by May 1 for company party" with subdivisions by room and then milestones within each room, instead of each room as a separate goal on the dashboard.

This would help keep me on target--the same reason I looked for something like Strides in the first place!

Please add this! I want to be able to build sets of optional tasks inside a goal in order to utilise the ideas in Jane McGonigal's SUPERBETTER book, and this would be perfect for that!

This would be awesome. Go someone who what's to build a bedtime routine it would be great to have sub tasks that can be associated with the main goal. I love the idea that the sub tasks/goal would have its own percentage as well. I have been looking for an app that does this and has the watch app. This app would be perfect if you had this feature.

Tldr; various sub goal types for "project" goals. These sub goals can be of (checklist, target(with units), time spent, etc). Also these sub goals should have their own % or have a weight (fraction/relative value).

Great idea. It would be perfect for most any goal/habit you want to achieve. Example: say you want to make "X" amount of dollars this year. You could then branch off of that goal with the habits you are going to need to create in order to achieve that end goal.

For example a habit I want is to study, but I have three subjects to study. So under one heading having three subjects to tick off would be awesome

I like this idea because I have a single habit that requires three different actions to complete, and they each require 30 minutes. It would be nice to be able to mark off each task before the habit is complete

I like is idea as you could split single targets into broader categories such as work, health, finance, home. You could then see, when looking at broad categories, if there are any areas that are being neglected. For example, you maybe achieving lots of single targets within health, but have no targets achieved in finance - you could then see from an overview where more effort, any need to be targeted.

I agree with anonymous! I'm new, as of a few minutes ago, to Strides, and I like what I see so far. I'd like to add to what has been mention. Please enlighten me if I simply haven't found in the app what I'm a ought to describe.
Adding to what Anonymous said, it would also be great to use a broad-category method under which broad goals are listed (i.e. Personal Goals/Spiritual Goals/Financial GoalsProfessional Goals wherein the more broad goal to lose 65 pounds by end of year would be listed under "Personal Goals). And under each of the broad goals is a list of narrower goals that result in accomplishing the goal (i.e. Cook one healthy meal per week, etc). In other words, the steps to an overall goal should be visibly connected to the overall goal and a category. That's how I've listed my goals (the small steps). But without the ability to categorize, the lists, viewing goals can, and do, feel a bit overwhelming.
I hope this makes sense. It's a method I've adopted through various seminars/workshops by Tony Robbins and Franklin Covey.

Would love something like this. Basically the ability to group goals together to achieve one larger goal.

Same; goals should be visionary and would like to add miles stones against the task. Example: being able to have 3 task/ milestone such as 401K, IRA and brokerage contributions align the the same

In the same vein, the ability to arrange habits in separate lists would be useful.
