Option to choose swipe direction for bad habit
I have 12 different habits. Some are bad some are good. The swipe direction still doesn’t feel intuitive to me after 2-3 weeks of use. I read the question line “Sugary snacks” and think “no” and the want to swipe from right to left. “No, I did not eat sugary snacks today.” I suppose I could change the wording to “Avoid Sugary Snacks.” But I wanted to share my first impression of how confusing it felt. I would still love to see an option to invert the swipe direction.

I’ve reflected on this a bit more and I still feel it’s unnatural. My suggestion won’t work.
If I create a BAD habit, I should name it “drink alcohol”. “Stop alcohol” is a GOOD habit. So the bad habit name is “drink alcohol”.
Let’s take an example. I have two trackers. Push-ups (good) and alcohol (bad). I go to log. These are my internal thoughts while using Strides:
Drinking: Did I drink today? No. Is it a bad habit? Yes. Swipe left to right.
Push-ups: Did I do push-ups today? No. Is it a bad habit? No. Swipe right to left.
See how I need to ask that extra question in there to figure out the swipe direction? Even though both answers were no?
It’s clear Strides is well designed, but this still feels like it’s extra taxing because I need to ask that extra question every single time and change how I interact with each row... hence the cumbersome and mentally taxing feeling of logging bad habits with Strides...
Maybe I’m not using the app right?
