Add Calendar and Reminders To App
It would be nice if you could add a full featured calendar and reminders to your Strides app. This would save a user time from having to use 3 separate apps to keep track of appointments, to-do’s, reminders, goals and habits. It could eliminate redundancy and improve accuracy when entering or changing appointments, to-do lists, reminders, goals and habits.
1 voteThis was the original idea behind what became Summit:

It was just way too much to put in to one app.

Yellow circle for partially met goals
For goals that are 2+ times a day, there should be a yellow color on the calendar so if one day you met the goal only a fraction of the times, it is reflected.
For example, if the goal is to drink 8 cups of water a day and you only drank 5, the circle on the calendar for that day should be yellow instead of red or green to indicate you partially met the goal.1 vote -
Ability to Set End Date for Archived Habits
When a habit is moved to the archive, we should be able to set a date the tracking is stopped.
I like the data I used to have about % of days I accomplished the habit, but as time passes and I am no longer logging it because it has been replaced and is in the archive, the data is diluted by months of inactivity that is factored into the percentage. By archiving the habit, I want to preserve that data for the active period, not lose it to time.108 votes -
X times per month (X is number of days in that month)
I like all my trackers in the month view but I have to manually change the goal every month from 30 to 31 to 30 and 27/28 for february and so on.
Please let us have the option to set the goal to the number of days in that month.
4 votesThere haven’t been any other votes on this, so we’ve decided to keep this type of tracking to 1 time per Day.

Average time on the clock
A handful of my goals are related to a target clock time; e.g., the time I wake up, the time I get into my office, the time I go to bed. I understand the tracker time stamps the time an activity is completed, I would like to be able to see something that shows the “average time I got to the office” over the past (week/month, etc.)

Add alternate sync options
Now that Strides is moving to iCloud sync, I will no longer be able to sync across my devices. I have a number of devices - some issued buy work and some personal. The work issued one block iCloud syncing for security purposes. Please consider adding Dropbox or OneDrive or Google Sync so those corporate users can still benefit from syncing across devices.
0 votesSorry, but this would require far too much work at this point. If we get the request again after we’ve transitioned to iCloud, we will definitely consider it!

Can you have multiple criteria to satisfy a goal
To help eliminate or restrict a bad habit. For example, following the Canadian guidelines for low-risk alcohol consumption, to have a daily maximum of three drinks, a daily weekly maximum of 15 drinks, and at least one non-drinking day per week, all in the same tracker.
1 voteThanks for reaching out! That’s a really interesting guideline. I see the appeal to logging a drink once and having it apply to each of these restrictions, but I don’t think it’s common enough to justify all the complexity it would take to build, and to set up for the user.
That said, you could either use multiple trackers, or focus on the one that would help you the most.
Have a great day!

Emojis for Tags
Let user choose optional Emoji for Tags. For every habit, show Tag emojis in a small field
1 voteThanks for reaching out! You can include emojis in Tag names, which will show in the Filters menu.
You can also include emojis in Tracker Names, which will show up on the Daily Goals & Dashboard views.
I thought about including tags on those table views, but it would greatly increase the height of each cell and clutter it quite a bit, especially for trackers with multiple tags.
Have a great day!

Shade Daily Bubbles
Very small feature request- please shade the daily bubbles so I know which day I’m clicking on.
Examples here:

6 votesThanks for the feedback and screenshots. I tried designing this in several ways, and found that it’s not worth doing, for three reasons:
1. It takes away from the legibility of the circle chart for the % complete, which is the most important part of the dates.
2. The top nav title shows the date that’s selected in large bold text. If we manually tap a date in the past to look at it, we see the title change (e.g. “Yesterday”).
3. The default selection when the view is loaded is Today, which is where we are 99% of the time. If we go to a date in the past, it’s typically just for a moment to backlog or see what happened, then we go back to to today to keep logging our progress.
If it was common to be on past days and stay there for a bit, this…

Tap instead of slide for goals we don’t meet
Instead of “sliding no” for the days we didn’t meet our goal, we should have a circle like on the left side of the item. It could be red or have a “no” sign to be identified.
3 votesThanks for reaching out! Logging No isn’t common enough to justify another circle/button that always shows on the view. It’s also not supposed to be an obvious visible choice because we don’t want to encourage the bad behavior. :)

Goal Streak for Average Tracker
I would like to see the average tracker get an option to set a streak goal like the habit tracker. I want to keep my average close to a goal for a certain length of time.

Startup option
In settings we should have the ability to set some options what happens when we open the app. 1. List view. or 2. Tags list. I’m only using tag view, yet it always goes to list view. Perhaps the tags list should not be a dropdown list, but rather a list of buttons (so we don’t need to click on the dropdown).

Optional Goals
A way to track optional goals, or activities that you value but don’t have deadlines or set frequencies. That would let you track how often you’re doing the sorts of things that help you thrive, but where doing any one of them is just as good as any other. For example, I might have ten activities that reliably keep me in a positive mood, and I want a habit of doing one or two from that category every day, but it doesn’t matter which ones I pick, and it doesn’t matter how often a particular one gets picked. It just…

View First Tracker Option
I would like to see just the next tracker to complete and not the entire list below it. It’s helpful just to see one thing at a time to not get overwhelmed.

Set Where The Dash Board Ends
I’ve set a number goal but the dashboard goes to double the amount I’ve set. It looks like I’ve gone no where and this is discouraging to look at.

Change reminder time without changing the set reminder time
I have a reminder at 6am for me to go gym, but sometimes my work schedule or family life will alter that so I go gym in the evening. It would be great if you could delay the reminder on the day without having to change the set reminder time.
1 voteWe thought through this and decided to stick with the Snooze feature currently built-in to the reminders, combined with leaving them in the Notification Center (you can snooze 15min, at any time).
In the Settings app, you can also change the Banner Style to Persistent so the notification sticks around until you interact with it.

Color Coding Days
It will be nice to have an option that allows us to color code days.

Have quarterly, semi annual, annual, biennial etc goals.
There are lots of things I’d like to track which have longer terms than a month. e.g. annual eye test, quarterly financial review, biennial colon screening. I think someone else was looking for a fortnightly option. I agree.
2 votesYou can track yearly and rolling goals with the Average tracker.
As for things like an annual eye test or quarterly financial review, those are better suited to a task manager because actions taken that infrequently are not habits.

No tracking option... just a goal date
Sometimes I can’t expect myself to, let’s say, read my new book every day; but I do like seeing the goal there (without a habit to check off every day).
So, I’d like a no tracking option - just a reminder of a due date option with an option to extend if needed.
One might say this defeats the purpose of the app, but it should be noted that I’m assuming that I’d be checking the app in the first place as a habit.
