  2. Add a “duration” property to habits and integrate with Google Calendar

Add a “duration” property to habits. E.g. Meditate 7:00am to 7:30am.
Integrate with Google Calendar to show those habits in the schedule and block the time slot for them.

  3. Tiny habits - Minimum and ideal amounts

It would be great to be able to input two numbers for goals that track a certain amount for the day - a minimum number and an ideal number.

For example, my goal is to read every day. Ideally, I'd like to read at least 10 pages. However, I consider it a success (tiny habit) if I only read one page per day. It would be nice if the graph could show both number and track where I am along this spectrum.

This could also work for other types of habits. For example, if someone has a goal to do…

Thanks for the feedback! I love the Tiny Habits concept, and it’s definitely easy to track with Strides, but adding a second Goal on top of that complicates the charts and setup process to much to be worthwhile.

That said, we are hoping to add the ability to gradually increase your Goal without losing green bars in the past.

  7. Tracking numbers

I’d like to set a range for tracking numbers. I want to track the number of Weight Watcher points I eat in a day. I would like the flexibility to say I can have 23-33 points in a day instead of more than 23 or less than 23.

  8. Evolve

Have a small tab where users can create a vision of what their best self is. Installing a sense of purpose in my opinion for why these habits are being made in the first place. Gearing it more toward a head space of the “ideal self” the user wants to “evolve” into by doing the habits rather than only the view of the actions being done. Possible self set or “choose from list” of integrated positive affirmations could also help the user see that their constantly evolving as a person; creating a headspace of motivation to keep making ‘Strides’ even…

  9. Biweekly habits

Hi! Love the tool. Would love it if you can set biweekly habits. I can’t use the weekly or the monthly habit check-ins and don’t really know how to handle it.

Glad to hear it, thanks! Unfortunately, this is too rare and complex to justify adding, but it should be doable by dividing the goal by two for a weekly habit, or doubling it with a monthly goal.

  10. No tracking option... just a goal date

Sometimes I can’t expect myself to, let’s say, read my new book every day; but I do like seeing the goal there (without a habit to check off every day).

So, I’d like a no tracking option - just a reminder of a due date option with an option to extend if needed.

One might say this defeats the purpose of the app, but it should be noted that I’m assuming that I’d be checking the app in the first place as a habit.

  12. Tap instead of slide for goals we don’t meet

Instead of “sliding no” for the days we didn’t meet our goal, we should have a circle like on the left side of the item. It could be red or have a “no” sign to be identified.

Thanks for reaching out! Logging No isn’t common enough to justify another circle/button that always shows on the view. It’s also not supposed to be an obvious visible choice because we don’t want to encourage the bad behavior. :)

  13. Average time on the clock

A handful of my goals are related to a target clock time; e.g., the time I wake up, the time I get into my office, the time I go to bed. I understand the tracker time stamps the time an activity is completed, I would like to be able to see something that shows the “average time I got to the office” over the past (week/month, etc.)

  14. For “Target Goals” enable color flip

For habit goals we are given the choice of setting the goal to limit number of times/day or exceed a given amount. This way we can include habits we’re trying to develop or extinguish. If we are successful in achieving our habit goal, the bar is green. If not, the bar is red.

Can we have similar flexibility when we set up “Target Goals”?

This would be very useful for tracking monthly allowances. This could be financial, but not necessarily.

A specific example: I start the month with an allowance of 90. I want this…

  16. Time-Table like Daily View

Show a time-table like view for the daily view tab, basically a view that shows next log time alongside the checklist item. It’ll help get an idea “when” the next upcoming tasks are, not just “what”. e.g. If I have set the log time for “Play guitar” as 9 pm on Monday, I would want that alongside the checklist task for guitar being shown on Monday. That will help me get an advance idea of what have I planned next (in case I’m done with my chores and wondering what to do next), instead of getting to know that by…

  17. Data tracker with 2 data items

I’ve begun using Strides to record my BP and have resorted to entering it as 128.76 to get both parts of the BP reading. Allowing 2 data items would not only solve the BP issue, but several others: time and heart rate for a run or bike workout, time and pace for biking, weight and %fat, and I’m guessing many others. As a product manager myself, I understand why you want to keep trackers generic and multipurpose and why you rejected a specific BP tracker in the past: this idea satisfies both goals.
There may be other ways to satisfy…

  18. Reduce the number of red badges to the needed ones

Previously, you could leave only badges on the application icon for habits with notification. This way the habits planned for the evening were not displayed all day, but only when the time came. Now the badge is showing up all day and I don't understand if this means that it's time for a habit or if it's showing the following habits.

    Thanks for reaching out!

We just released Strides 10.0 which added a new Progress Reports feature. With that, we had to remove the old status icons from the Dashboard to replace it with the new Reports view, which means there’s no concept of “Alerted” in the app any more, so I wanted to prevent confusion with that badge setting. For now, the badge shows the number of trackers Due Today.

That said, I totally see the value in wanting to know what’s due now, so one of the next features we’re working on is called Routines, which will allow you to choose morning, afternoon or evening routines for each of your trackers. Using those routines, you’ll also be able to set the App Icon Badge to just show what’s Due Now, as opposed to one badge for everything due today.

Hope that helps. Best of luck with all your goals…

  19. Siri Shortcut for Export

Currently, there's no mechanism to automatically export data from Strides via Siri shortcut. My workflow is to load up Strides, export the data, and share it to another Siri shortcut, but this is clunky and depends on me loading/being in strides. An "automated" export (that I could set a trigger for in IOS 14) or a Siri shortcut to trigger and share an export would be super helpful to me (I share my data with my accountability partner).

  20. Fix Trends Report to be consistent with Progress Report

The new Trends Report is good, but frustratingly inconsistent with the Progress Report. For example, I have a habit that I want to do at least 20 of per day. The Progress Report will show me my average per day and how that compares with my target, but the Trends Report will only show me how many days I hit/missed the target.

The Trends Report, just like the Progress Report, should show me my average over a particular timeframe, so I can see how my recent trends compare to my historical trends.

Thanks for reaching out! This is intentional, because each report is custom-built to focus on a different aspect of your progress. The Trends report is focused on how you’ve logged your progress by week, month or year.

I tried designing the Trends report with specific goals and averages displayed and it was a very confusing experience because all of the trackers can have different time periods. Imagine looking at last week’s Trends report and seeing a daily average for one goal, a monthly average for another, a pace/projected for a Target tracker that’s due in 67 days, etc. It gets far too complex to decipher what’s going on, so I kept it simple and focused.
