Create a new tracker type with the ability to add checklists/milestones and break them into smaller steps.521 votes
It would be really helpful if this linked with HealthKit. If I have a goal for exercise. Or take my vitamins. Or medicines. Etc. and I already log this in another app to be able to track in health, it would be really cool to not have to log it on this one. And get a reminder if it isn’t completed. I know it seems strange, but often I log something in another app because I like to see what I’m doing for my body. It would just eliminate an extra step or two while also tracking my habits (or lack there of) and ways that I’m doing well or need improvement.

IFTTT integration would allow us so many connectivity options!
From simple stuff like, "Add an entry to a Google spreadsheet every time i successfully complete this habit" to more aesthetic things like, "If all my goals were met today, make the Phillips Hue lights do a rainbow color gradient."212 votes
That is an awesome idea! :)
We have big plans for integrations on the roadmap, and it will almost certainly include IFTT and Zapier. Can’t wait for this!
The tracking of habits is quite good but instead of the dashboard we should have an option to switch to analytics view that would display all habits in calendar mode or in a graph so we can get a general idea of how we are doing with all our habits without having to click on each one individually. Tracking is useless without the ability to easily get the picture of where we stand and what we need to improve and that’s not as smooth as it should be right now in my opinion. Also would be very helpful for those of us who are more visually inclined and those who want to do a review of all their habits once a day or once a week without having to spend a lot of time on the app. (There’s also something that’s really pleasing to the eyes by just watching numbers, a graph would be much better) PLEASE UPVOTE SO THE DEVELOPERS CAN SEE THIS (if you agree of course).

Status update: We’re wrapping up a few improvements to the app that lay a solid foundation for the Progress Reports feature.
The only step left after v7.7.1 for iOS is to add support for reports to the API, so while we do that we’ll rebuild the Apple Watch app, then focus 100% on the big v8.0 release of Progress Reports!
Thanks for your patience. It’ll be worth the wait. :)
I have a habit that is “bike to work” which is set to log MTWThF. I bike ThF one week and MT the next week, and it counts it as 4/6 days instead of 4/4. If it’s only set to log on certain days, only those days should count towards a streak.84 votes
A few of my other apps have dark/night mode so that I can use them in the very early morning/late at night with out creating too much light.
I think that’d be helpful here, especially since I track some of my goals at 5 am and 10pm and can sometimes have trouble with the extra bright screen.
I finished designing this, but we’re waiting for system-wide dark mode in iOS to develop the feature.
I have a tracker for brushing my teeth twice a day. I brush my teeth once in the morning and once at night. However, for the entire duration of the day, the percentage completed section doesn't include the current day. Thus, my percentage completed is lower than it should be, which I find annoying. It would be great to only calculate the percentage completed using full days.10 votes
When I make a goal on strides, I’d love for it to also appear on summit so that I don’t have to put it in twice. The two apps are made by the same company, aren’t they? I wish I could have an account that both apps synced to.19 votes
I would like to choose when my day starts, instead of the default 'at midnight'.
I'm a bit of a night owl, so I stay up late and tend to sleep in. This constantly makes it seem like I'm behind on my goals, even when I'm not.109 votes
I would like to be able to set a group goal. And then the ability to sign people up for my goal (limited to invited guests) so that we all are working towards the same goal and can communicate and send encouragement and pictures etc. But the goal tracking is still at an individual level. Great for corporate, family or school goals.12 votes
Big plans for this!
English it's a universal language for sure, but being able to use the app in our native languages (Portuguese, Spanish, German, Italian, French, etc.) would be more compelling and stimulating for people who have English as a second language. Most of Strides cheaper competitors already have this function.9 votes
Absolutely, we’re definitely planning to fully-localize the entire app in all the top languages. In the meantime, you can create tracker names in any language, so it’s only the field labels that are in English. We’ll translate those as soon as possible!
I'd like to be able to use multiple log ins across multiple devices so that a team could view and track progress on a goal.
(Ex: A sales team of 20 needs to reach a weekly sales Goal, I'd like to for all of them to able to update and view the tracker and the log show which member updated, and when)44 votes
Add an option to start a timer for a Habit to make sure I did it long enough to count as done. For example, rather than marking "Clean House" as Done, I could set a countdown for 30 minutes to make sure I do it properly. Could apply to meditating, practicing an instrument, learning a language, focusing on deep work, etc.163 votes
After some comparison between apps that help in habits creation,
I found this one ( from my point of view ) the best.
But i decided to keep the other apps as well a reference for goals, as they have a big set of predefined goals and habits.
So thought,, Strides can have it too !
Productivity coaches such as Jason Selk and others recommend creating a daily success log in which a person records what went well during the day, what can be improved upon, and an action that can be taken toward improvement. You can kind of set something like that up, but only by using notes and kludging it a bit. Being able to create free form questions as a template and recording brief answers would be awesome. It would be an excellent addition to the app.61 votes
Great idea, thanks!
A page dedicated to managing all your alerts. See all of them and what goal they are tied to. Edit them right there. Though they'll can still be created the normal way too. I have a lot of goals so there are a lot of alerts. But right now you have to go to each goal to see its alert which is a bit frustrating. You accidentally choose times that are the same. Then you have to go edit it., etc.54 votes
can you make the site have the same functionality as the app when creating trackers? Right now alerts aren't an option on the site. Thanks!6 votes
We’d like to add alerts to the Web app. It’s a lot more difficult than it is on iOS, but we’re planning to add it, as well as a native Mac app with alerts.
Once we get everything polished (our main focus now), we plan to release an Accountability feature that will include Competitions/Challenges. Looking forward to this!
Here are some popular sites that you could pull data from to update goal progress automatically:
Fitbit - steps, miles, sleep time, calories
MyFitnessPal - calories, nutritional information
Runkeeper - miles ran, other exercises
Toodledo - tasks completed528 votes
Thanks Russ! We have big plans for integrations, so this will definitely be a feature we focus on once the Web app is live and working nicely.
Share your goal/habit privately with an accountability partner that could see the progress you're making and leave comments.633 votes
