Have incremental habits
It would be great if habits could be set to increment / decrement. Use cases:
1) I'm trying to do pushups every day with a goal of doing 3x 33 everyday. I've started off with a habit of doing just 10 once a day and increased once I formed that habit. When I increased it to twice a day it showed all my previous work as a failure i.e I only achieved 50% when viewed as the habit being twice a day but at the time it was 100% when the habit was only once per day. Likewise when I change the name to 11 pushups, 12 pushups I lose the informat of when I incremented
2) In the reverse case for bad habits that you're trying to wean yourself off it would be good if you could decrement without making your past achievements look like a failure in current context. For example if you want to stop smoking and you were on 10 / day and now you're on 5 the days before you changed the habit goal will appear as not achieved when actually you had achieved for that context

This appears to be a duplicate of : Allow goal edits to only apply for the future, without affecting past streaks. Which has more votes. I agree that there should be a "habit growth" period which would allow you to ease into a new habit or grow into the habit. Use Case: My Partner has tried to study Spanish Daily, but has failed to do so in the last 30 days because of the immediate impact to the schedule change. I have recommended starting with 2 days a week and incrementing 1 more day until he reaches his daily goal.
