  1. More precision for daily goal

I have some trackers that span over years.
At the moment the precision on daily goal is only to one decimal point. Are we able to easily add another decimal point? This would enable me to see more granular progress.
    Thanks!

We just released an update with some huge improvements to the Target tracker, including decimal precision. e.g. I'm seeing a Daily Goal of 0.12 for one of mine.

If you don't see the hundredths place in this case that's likely because the number is too large to include that level of precision. One option is to change the Due setting to log weekly or monthly so the number isn't broken down into days and wouldn't need the super precise decimal.

    Have a great day!

  2. Track number of activities

For fitness targets, we have distance, time, etc. I'd like to track number of posted activities. E.g., it doesn't matter to me if I play singles tennis for 45 or doubles for 80... The goal is to build the habit of getting out there. I'm using time as a proxy, but that can obscure my goal if I go long one day but fail to get out there the 10 times/month that I want to achieve

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks for reaching out! If your goal is to do a fitness activity a certain number of times per week - as opposed to tracking the exact time of each session - the best way to do that is with the Habit tracker type. That way, you can just tap to log yes that you played tennis and it will track the goal as 1/X times for the week.

You could still track the time with an Apple Health tracker too. For some goals it's nice to see it from two perspectives like this.

I looked into setting up Apple Health trackers to work like habits but it made setup a lot more complicated than it was worth so I decided not to go that route, but the Habit tracker is so easy to use that this setup should work well.

Best of luck with all your goals & habits!

  3. Goals can be set to years

Allow goals to be set to years (like habits) but while allowing the add to total. I usually set a lot of goals like run 500 miles per year. Bike x miles per year, and then at the end of every year I document all my totals in a spreadsheet and start each one over but if allowed to go by year or month or even week and automatically rolling over while showing your totals for the previous time period (like habits) people could do a better job seeing there progress over time. This benefits all goals even habit based.…

These are great uses for the Average (Repeating Number) tracker type! You can set a yearly goal and it will automatically add up the numbers you log throughout the year, then reset when the next year starts.

Best of luck with all your goals & habits!

  4. Please allow completed habits to be removed from view!

Once a habit is completed, it should be hidden from view, NOT just moved to the bottom of the screen. This feature has been asked for so many times, but still is not available! Please consider adding this feature.

    Hi Darren,

Thanks for reaching out! I don't recall getting that request so I'm sorry you were waiting for it, but thankfully there is a way to do this in the app now.

On the Reports tab, choose the Due Today filter to see just those goals. Swipe to log just like you would on the Due view, and once they're no longer Due (Done, Missed or Skipped) they'll be removed from the filter, not just moved down.

    Hope that helps!

  5. When I set the bad habits ,I swipe yes it’s show green in the chart for the day, then I try to change swipe to no,also same green .

Pls improve this issue . If then bad habit when I swipe yes suppose to be red and no it’s suppose to be green right?! It’s green for the day no matter I set yes or no for the bad habits !!!

Replied by email. Your bad habit's limit was set to 1 time per day so a single bad Yes log was still within the limit. Setting it to zero times per day will show red everywhere once at least 1 Yes log is added. Have a great day!

  6. Log daily habits via different measurements.

An example, drinking water being able to measure in oz vs the current “1, 2, etc”

Thanks for reaching out! The Habit tracker type is for repeating actions (Yes or No) but you can use the Average tracker for repeating numbers, which can be any unit you want.

For the vast majority of goals the unit is obvious but if you want to show the unit you can put it in the tracker name too.

Best of luck with all your goals & habits!

  8. Request for Discount on lifetime access

    Dear Strides Team,

I’ve been using the Strides app and truly appreciate the value it brings to my habit tracking routines.
I’m very interested in upgrading to the Lifetime Access plan to continue using Strides long-term. However, the current price is beyond my budget. I wanted to kindly ask if there are any upcoming promotions or if you could offer a discount on the lifetime plan.

I’d love to support the continued development of such a great tool, and any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

    Best Regards

    Mohit

  9. More customizable options

I switched to Strides because I enjoy being able to choose “yearly” for some things and tapping instead of only swiping to complete something.
I was a user of Habit Tracker, and I do miss certain features they have such as being able to keep habits/tasks in the same list once completed, rather than having them moved to a separate list. It would also be neat to have background colors based on time of day so we have an easier visual field of how many things we have to do per day.
Lastly, in tandem with my first point, it…

Thanks for reaching out! You can view all of your goals and habits in one place - regardless of time of day or due date - on the Progress Report. Since that's covered in a more visual way than the Today's tab to-do list structure I don't think it'd be worth changing the Today tab to keep something in Due even after it's Done for the day. That could get very confusing. As for seeing what's due at a certain time of day the Today tab does that automatically with the Due Now filter, which only shows things as Due if their routine matches the time on the clock.

Hope that helps. Have a great day!

  10. Exclude weekends in average.

If a goal is not possible on certain days those days should not be counted against the average as that provides an inaccurate average.

    Hi Zach,

Thanks for reaching out! Totally agree, you don't have to log on the weekends and you can exclude them from your average.

With the Per Day setting every day has to be considered since it's focused on the daily average, but if you want to automatically ignore the weekends you can change the Time Period from Per Day to Per Log. That way, it will only calculate the average based on the logs you add, so if you only log on MTWThF then it would only consider those logs.

If you'd rather keep the Per Day time period setting, another option is to set it to be due every day then just swipe left to Skip any days you don't need to do so those days are ignored from the average.

Hope that helps! Have a great day,

    Kyle

  11. Make streak ongoing instead of having to choose the length of the streak

Right now the only way to have a streak is to choose how long you want it to be. Maybe there could be an option to indefinitely count the streak.

Thanks for reaching out! You don't have to set a Goal Streak. That's an optional feature for people that want to focus on hitting a certain number of time periods in a row, and they usually set a new goal after it's reached. With that feature off (default) or on the streak continues to count indefinitely.

    Have a great day!

  12. Daily Streak Widget for Home Screen

A widget for your home screen that displays your current streak for any habit, showing how many consecutive days you’ve achieved your goal.

  13. In the two to hold menu, please add an item for add note.

When I didn’t complete an item, I sometimes want to leave a note about why. Since it is an occasional thing I don’t want the default to be always adding a note. Therefore it would be helpful to have an option to add a note in the menu that shows up when you tap and hold the item.

    Hi Ryan,

After swiping left and marking something as Missed or Skipped, you can either tap the log icon on the left side then Edit Log/Note, or long-press the tracker and tap Add Note.

Hope that helps. Best of luck with all your goals & habits!

  15. Menstrual cycle considerations

My ideal daily habits change a lot according to where I am in my cycle. It’s kindof a bummer to take a rest day on purpose only to have all your streaks go back to zero. It would be great to have a mode where you can set habits according to your cycle. Each person could input the length of their cycle and then adjust habits for the days they’re on. For example, I want to exercise every day from days 5-20 of my cycle, on days 27-30 I want to make sure I take time to rest etc.

    Hi Jess,

Thanks for reaching out! You don't have to reset your streaks to zero. Any time there's a habit that doesn't make sense to do for the day just swipe left and tap Skip. That will remove it from Due and move it to the Skipped section, which won't count against you in any way and will keep your streak going. 😀

Best of luck with all your goals & habits!

    Hi Morten,

Thanks for reaching out! You can get a sound when you log your progress by enabling the Completion Sound feature in Strides Settings. I haven't gotten any requests to add more sounds, but if you'd jus like more options let me know.

    Have a great day!

  17. Specific Due Time or Custom Routines

Some/many habits would be better served to have a specific due time instead of a general time of day. This is especially true for bad habits. Like if I want to stop cussing for instance, then I don’t need a due time in the evening at 5pm because it’s tied to “evening”. I need the due time to be the end of the day, like 10pm when I’m in bed and have made it through the entire day, etc.

Maybe another way this could be solved though is allowing for custom Routine times. If I could make my own “End…

Thanks for reaching out! You can adjust start times of the morning, afternoon & evening routines in the Manage Routines view, but the better solution in this case would be to set a Reminder at the specific time(s) you want the tracker to be due. You can also Sort by Due Time on the Today tab, which uses those reminder and routine times to put them in order. Hope that helps. Have a great day!

  18. Allow for a DRAFT/BRAINSTORM Project before assigning dates

It would be great to be able to flesh out/brainstorm projects without committing to dates and then when you're ready to execute to assign dates accordingly.... so move from a Brainstorm Bin to an Execute Bin.

Thanks for reaching out! This is doable with the current setup because the milestones' date ranges default to the same as the project's date range, which defaults to today to 30 days from now. So, when you create a new project you can just keep all the default dates while brainstorming, then change their dates whenever you're ready.

  19. Export Task notes as PDF or make all text selectable and copy pasteable

I have a task called "Reading" where each time I enter a log, I make write a note with the log describing what I read about.
I have a lot of these notes for the "Reading" task.
I would love to be able to copy and paste all of these notes elsewhere please.
    :)
    God bless you!

  20. Compare Weeks or Months in Average Chart

I am motivated by doing better this week than last, or this month than last. If I click on reports, then a specific habit (pushups). At top I can see last seven days or last 30 days. but I really want to be able to see it by weeks or months. Can you add that?

    Hi Brian,

Thanks for reaching out! You can tap "Average 7 days" to change the trend comparison to 4 weeks, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months.

If there's more to your idea feel free to reply by email and I'll see if we can add more options.

    Thanks!
