Time Period Option of Hourly Please
Please add an hourly option under time period for a habit: it would be nice to have something to proactively check rather than either keeping track that I did something 12x today or having to enter 12 different habits to track daily.

Missed
All goals that I don’t mark as completed, I would like them to automatically be marked as MISSED at the end of the day.
1 voteHi Cara,
I'd like to get more detail on this one. Currently anything not logged for the day stays in Due, but that's the same as moving to Missed as far as all the formulas and charts go (e.g. Broken streaks, lower success rate, etc).
The Missed section is mostly for preventing reminders for the rest of the day and getting rid of the badge when there's something you know you won't be doing today.
So, I'm curious to hear your thoughts on why you'd like them to be moved to Missed automatically at midnight when the day is over.
Thanks!

Show all completed items (including ones which were not due that day) in the "Done" section in Today view
For trackers which are due on certain days of the week, doing them on other days records the log and registers any goals like x times per y, but these do not show up as completed in the Today view when done on days when they were not due, e.g. when you complete a task a day later. It would be great if all items marked completed are shown in the "Done" section, regardless of whether they were due that day.

Completion rate for average tasks
Current behavior: i have an Average Tracker which i want to execute at least 3 times/week. I don't care which days of the week i do it, but just the total amount. At the end of the week i unfortunately discover that i did it only 2 times, the other days i skipped it because i couldn't do it. I go into Reports and i see that, amazingly, the Tracker Completion Rate is 100% (2/2) for the week. This is logically wrong.
Expected behavior: the Completion Rate is smart enough to know that for this week i was supposed to…
1 voteThanks for reaching out! I totally understand, and it's great that you want it to accurately reflect how many times you did it throughout the week.
The Average tracker is designed for tracking repeating numbers (e.g. Run 5 miles per week, Budget of $X or less per month, etc) so it is handled a bit differently than the Habit tracker, which is designed for repeating action goals like this one (e.g. Do something 3 times per week).
Creating a habit tracker and backlogging the days you did it should help with this. I'm also planning to do an update to improve the Trends Report soon so that should make it even better.
Best of luck with all your goals & habits!

Set Goal # for Habit Trackers
It has occurred to me lately that one thing that makes the habit tracker more effective is having a definite, limited goal — i.e. the “goal streak”.
There is currently no way to have go goal total for a habit tracker — i.e. do this habit x number of times. This is a small tweak, but I think it would go a long way in helping to motivate follow through with certain kinds of habits for which the streak is not as important as the repetitions.
I recognize that one could use the “Target number by date”, but this removes…
1 voteThanks for reaching out! The Target tracker was built for this type of goal, but if you'd prefer not to log with the number pad for this situation the best solution I can think of with the current setup would be to scale the goal up to a longer time period.
For example, if you want to do something 1 time per day, but you want to be motivated by making progress over time, you could change the goal to 30 times per month or even 365 times per year.
That way, the Progress Report will gradually fill up throughout the time period you choose to keep you motivated to stay on track like the Target tracker.
Hope that helps! I'll keep an eye on this idea to see if anyone else wants a separate feature for this.

Allow entry of data type for goal tracking
Right now, I have a few average trackers, but when I look at the goals, they say 5 per day, 4 per week, and 3 per day. Instead It would be awesome to be able to enter what I’m tracking per goal so that they appear as 5 minutes per day, 4 times per week, and 3 pages per day for my different trackers.

Ability to skip at week/month/year level
It appears you are able to skip a week but only by skipping each individual day within the week so ideally you’d be able to skip an entire week at the same time. same goes for month.. currently you aren’t even able to skip a month by skipping individual days so perhaps that’s a bug
1 voteHi Clark,
Thanks for reaching out!
The way it's set up Skip is designed to skip one due date. If you skip each due date in a week or month that entire time period will be considered skipped in all the formulas too.
It could get complicated changing the experience (and the code under the hood) to give the choice of skipping the entire week/month/year at once, and it would encourage not doing the habit.
That said, I see how it would save time in some cases, so I'm definitely open to it. I'll leave it up here to see if more votes come in.
Thanks so much for the feedback!

Be able to remove the subtitle under each tracker title
To make list cleaner, I prefer to just see the tracker titles.

Add “Anytime” to Filters view
Please add “Anytime” to current routines list. Then it will show Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Anytime. Reason - at any given moment during the day, I’d like to filter and see “anytime habits”. If to view “Due Now” or Due Today”, those tasks are mixed with morning/ afternoon/ evening habits and very time consuming/ distracting to sort out. Thank you.

Create Tracker Left arrow data loss
Creating a tracker with my elderly parent, they filled it all in then hit the left arrow before I realized it. They lost all the info for that tracker. Please add a 'are you sure' prompt if the tracker has been modified.
Also, in general, you use the Checkmark to mean save but sometimes that's missing. Like the Reminder time does not have it. And in one place the Checkmark is Green but in this Create area it's just white.
One last thing, when you change the Goal count please highlight the number so I can just type "2" instead…

Record time (or units) at task completion
When the task is complete I want to record minutes. The field could simply be a unit: minutes, miles, kilometers, or some other unit.
I do not want the goal to be the unit like the popular "Log hh:mm" feature suggestion. If the goal is to Bicycle 5 miles, why not name the tracker, "Ride 5 miles," "Play piano 20 minutes?" etc?
My goal is daily meditation, not X number of minutes of meditation. Meditating 10, 20, 30, or even 5 minutes is achieving the goal. I don't want not making X number of minutes to be considered a failure.…
1 voteThanks for the feedback! I'll keep an eye on votes. In the meantime, you could accomplish something very similar with an Average tracker by naming it something like "Play piano 20 minutes" then logging 15 if you played for 15 minutes (hh:mm format coming later like you mentioned) BUT the Goal does not have to be 20.
You could set the Goal to 1 so literally anything above zero is still considered successful, but it would still show a bar chart with all the time you've logged plus trends over weeks, months, etc.
Hope that helps!

Pausing a tracker
I have to workout 30 mins a day. But now I am suffering from a flu and can’t do this. I want to pause my tracker for 2 weeks after which it can start again on its own. I hope this feature could be added as today I can’t do it in the way explained.
1 voteThanks for reaching out. I'm sorry you have the flu!
It can get very complicated adding a pre-scheduled pause function without causing other issues, but the Skip feature was added to take care of scenarios like this. It's just a quick swipe left to tap Skip for the habit to be ignored for the day.
I'm marking this as reviewing to see if more people vote for it.
Thanks for the feedback, and I hope you feel better soon!

Mac: Close Selection Box without Pressing X Button
Sort of like this issue- https://strides.uservoice.com/forums/249947-vote-on-features/suggestions/15067593-pressing-esc-button-close-edit-tracker-dialogb
Instead of explaining it because I suck at it, here is chat gpt to explain it:
"Implement a feature to close modals by clicking outside their area, utilizing the event.target and event.currentTarget properties of the Event API to distinguish clicks on the modal backdrop from clicks on the modal content itself. This enhances user experience by allowing intuitive dismissal of modals."
So yea, clicking the grayed out area anywhere outside closes the modal. It is really common in other apps and your app is so great but this part a bit makes it hard…

Tag — search the notes in each habit
The tag function only allows users to filter for the habits, cannot use it to filter the notes. Can you expand the function of tag. It is crucial n important feature that can be found in other App. Thanks

Read habit tracking results in Apple shortcuts
Currently in shortcuts the only thing that I can do with Strides is log a habit.
I would like the ability to read the information from a habit.
One of the use cases that I’m thinking of is I want to make a Personal Care Index for myself by calculating how I’m doing on my daily habits, and I would like to be able to create a shortcut that does this automatically once a day or week etc.1 voteReally cool idea, thanks! I'll look into this and keep an eye out for more votes. Have a great day!

Can Face ID protection be added?
Face ID is a faster way to keep data secure instead of doing passcode.
1 voteThanks for this! I've been surprised that no one has requested it in the years since we added Privacy Lock so I'm glad it's been added now. I'll keep an eye out for other votes and prioritize it when we can. Have a great day!

Add a checklist for habits
Some habits that I am working on developing are both a habit and a routine. So to complete that day's habit and develop the routine, there are multiple tasks that need to be done.
For example, I might create the habit "Start the Work Day" and there are four or five steps/tasks that are involved: turn on computer, make coffee, check if my staff is online, spend 30 minutes on email. Having each one as a checklist item would be helpful.
1 voteThanks for reaching out! This is a cool idea. In the past I've recommended using the Routines feature and having a habit tracker for each part of the routine, but I see how these smaller things might not justify having a tracker for each one.
I'll keep an eye on votes for this one and work on a design for it. I'm picturing the log view for a habit with a checklist being very similar to the Milestone Checklist feature, which would show when you tap or swipe to log it. Let me know if you had any other specific ideas in mind, like if you'd have to tap to complete each subtask in order to be able to log the habit for the day, or if it would have to keep track of when you did each subtask (that would add a lot of complexity).
Thanks again!
