I’m probably tracking too many things with the app, but it is working out well for me. I’m tracking routines as well as habits.
Strides is doing better at tracking both habits AND routines than all other apps I’ve tried in the last 4 years. Even better than apps that are dedicated to tracking only routines!
I put both habits & routines in Strides because I didn’t have an easier way to track them together.
I have a large number of habits/routines on different specified days. If I complete something earlier or later in its usual order or scheduled time of day, I have a difficult time finding it to check it off.
Everything is grouped by time of day and it’s type which helps a lot. But my routines and habits are very interwoven in an attempt to achieve max efficiency (based on location, usually) . Also, I use certain steps in my routines to trigger specific habits, as suggested in “Atomic Habits” by James Clear (at least I think that’s the right book). This method has been working really well for remembering and creating good habits.
