  1. Snooze Due tracker to later in the day

Need to snooze in currently due. I don’t want to move it to evening because sometimes I can get it done in the morning, but I really like to have no red dots on my app icons.

  2. Integrate Habit Import from Strides to Apple Reminders

I would like to propose a feature that allows users to import habits from Strides into the Apple Reminders app. This integration would provide more flexibility for users who prefer to manage their tasks and habits in one central app, like Apple Reminders, while still benefiting from the habit tracking and goal-setting features of Strides.

This feature could help streamline task management and habit tracking, improving user experience by syncing these two tools seamlessly.

  3. Add "Spirituality" template category

You have included "prayer" as one of the templates under "Wellness," but perhaps you could add an entire category that is labeled as "Spirituality" and within that label, you could include prayer, church attendance, ministering, service, scripture study, meditation, etc.

  4. Hi, please bring this app to Microsoft Laptops. I personally have a Microsoft laptop, but have an iPhone and iPad.

Get the app on Microsoft laptops, and this will enable those who have apple devices but not a MacBook; to enable them to enjoy this app on their Microsoft laptops.

Thanks for reaching out! We had a web app for years but unfortunately we ended up having to shut it down because it was very rarely used and lost a lot of money. That said, we did build a Mac app for desktop use, and even though all of our users are primarily in the Apple ecosystem it's not used much compared to iPhone either. We were able to do that much more easily than a Windows app because it shares code with iPhone/iPad so I don't think we'll be able to bring it to Windows. Never say never though, it's possible we'll have a web app again in the future for Windows. I would love to do that if possible!

Best of luck with all your goals & habits,

    Kyle

  5. Stop asking free users to upgrade every day

In the last week or so, the app has started pestering me almost every day to upgrade. I understand the desire to create more paying customers, but the constant full-screen prompts make the free tier almost unusable. I have been a premium subscriber for periods in the past, but at the moment I'm considering switching to a different app that doesn't do this. Can the prompts be less often, even if it's once per week or month?

Hi, this is Kyle, the CEO of Strides. Just wanted to reply to thank you for taking the time. I really appreciate it. I read every bit of feedback and take it all to heart to make Strides better.

We are a very small, self-funded company building an ad-free service that keeps your data private. It's only possible to continue running this business if people upgrade for premium features.

We weren't showing our premium plan nearly often enough and it was hurting the business for years. Many popular, highly-rated apps, some of which have been selected as Editor's Choice and even won Apple Design Awards, show their paywall right when the app is launched. That's what experts recommend, but I felt that would be too distracting in Strides.

So, I decided to try showing the upgrade view once after every single tracker has been logged for the day, so there's…

  6. Order by streak length

To support with the ‘don’t break the chain’ motivational technique, order habits by streak length. This can help you prioritise habits that have the longest streaks and keep that motivation high!

Other apps are capable of doing this, and it works.

At the moment, the ‘progress’ feature doesn’t track streaks, only seemingly daily progress where multiple instances are required, so it isn’t possible. At the moment, I have to scroll back and forth through my habits list to look at which has the highest streak length, which is a small but grating pain.

    Thanks for reading 🙂

Thanks for reaching out! Good idea adding this to the sorting options. I'm looking into that now. In the meantime, we built a premium report for this on the Reports tab called Rankings. It ranks all your Habit & Average trackers by their streak lengths so you can celebrate the best ones and for inspiration to get the other streaks going.

  7. Enter Sub-Category of a Habit & Track by Color on the Calendar

For example, I want to have the habit of "Creating" each day - whether that be writing, photography, or videography. If it's a rainy day, it may be best for writing OR I may spend time with both photography and videography. I'd like to color-code the subcategories so that when I look back at the "Creating" habit calendar, I can see how I split my "Creating" time over the past month (in addition to how many days I was successful at incorporating "Creating" into my day).

  8. Move to Evening option

Please add a “Move to evening” or “Move to end” option.
    — For example:  forgot to take my medication this morning. I’ll take it when I get home, BUT I don’t want it at the top of my list all day.

Sort of like Snooze from notifications but for the order in the Due section of the Today tab.

Thanks for this! I've been surprised that no one has requested it in the years since we added Privacy Lock so I'm glad it's been added now. I'll keep an eye out for other votes and prioritize it when we can. Have a great day!

  11. Build time-based routines from habits

Currently you can assign habits to a time of day, and you can tag them, but you cannot build a morning routine, or a bedtime routine, or an after-work routine etc.

    What I imagine is this:

    • create a new routine, give it a name
    • add habits to that routine, and allow ordering the habits within that routine
    • optionally allow to add an estimated time for each habit
    • show the total duration of the routine

And then, when you want to complete a routine:

    • select "start routine"
    • render the first habit (with a timer if estimate is set) on the screen

  13. Pause all trackers, including those that are Apple health integration

The workarounds with notifications do not work for integrations - all my goals are mostly integrations. Please, add an option to pause any tracker I want including the ones from integrations. P.S: I have a lifetime subscription with you if it means anything 😀

Thanks for reaching out, and for your support! It means a lot. 😀

Just checking in to make sure I'm understanding this correctly: when you say "pause" a tracker, do you want to skip a day so it doesn't count against you? Or something else? The Skip feature works for Apple Health trackers too so I'm guessing that's not it but I can't tell if this request is about another one (vacation mode) or something totally new. Thanks so much for the feedback!

  14. Add more Shortcut options

Background: I really like Stride's current IOS/Mac shortcut options (e.g. log to trackers). It would be super useful if we could also grab the name of our current trackers as well.

    Ask:
Add a IOS/Mac shortcut that allows users to get current goal value and name.

    Example Use Case:
Automate time tracking goals with the Timery app feeding data to Stride. This could be done if the Stride goal name and the project name in Timery/Toggl are the same.

  15. Log all items as completed for 1 day with one press

I have about 30 presses to mark a day as complete. I’m so busy I’ll miss logging several days in a row even though I know I completed everything. For 6 days that’s 180 presses. It’d be way easier if it were 6 presses.

Having a single tap to complete everything would cause a lot more trouble than it's worth, and it's very likely things would slip through the cracks if they're not even considered for logging. Plus, it wouldn't even be possible for 3 out of 4 tracker types since they require entering numbers/percentages. That said, I've been thinking about adding a bulk edit option to the long-press menu that would allow you to log yes, no or skip in bulk for all your habits so I'll see if there's more feedback on this one.

  16. Record time (or units) at task completion

When the task is complete I want to record minutes. The field could simply be a unit: minutes, miles, kilometers, or some other unit.

I do not want the goal to be the unit like the popular "Log hh:mm" feature suggestion. If the goal is to Bicycle 5 miles, why not name the tracker, "Ride 5 miles," "Play piano 20 minutes?" etc?

My goal is daily meditation, not X number of minutes of meditation. Meditating 10, 20, 30, or even 5 minutes is achieving the goal. I don't want not making X number of minutes to be considered a failure.…

Thanks for the feedback! I'll keep an eye on votes. In the meantime, you could accomplish something very similar with an Average tracker by naming it something like "Play piano 20 minutes" then logging 15 if you played for 15 minutes (hh:mm format coming later like you mentioned) BUT the Goal does not have to be 20.

You could set the Goal to 1 so literally anything above zero is still considered successful, but it would still show a bar chart with all the time you've logged plus trends over weeks, months, etc.

    Hope that helps!

    Kyle

  19. Allow Apple Health tracked weight goal to be tracked as "Target: Number by Date"

The recent update that added weight as a goal from Apple Health is great to have! but I would love if you could track it as "Target: Number by Date".

Currently it seems that you can only create the weight goal and it defaults to track as "Average: Repeating Number"

Even when creating a custom tracker an example for "Target: Number by Date" is weight.

This could apply to "Body Fat percentage", "BMI", and "Waist Circumference" too now that they are coming from Apple Health.

Thanks Ken! I totally understand. This is just a much larger code change so we didn't do it on this update. If enough people vote for it we'll do our best to make it happen.

In the meantime, it's important to note that the Average tracker type is still awesome for tracking these metrics. It's not the same approach as a one-time goal like losing 10 lbs by Summer, for example, but that can still be done with a Target tracker, and it's temporary. After that, the start and goal dates/values need to be changed frequently as seasons and goals change, and if you're just wanting to maintain your weight the Target tracker isn't helpful anymore.

With the Average tracker, you can set a Rolling Average goal to be at or below/above a certain number, and gradually adjust it over time if needed. That can even work for weight loss…

  20. Read habit tracking results in Apple shortcuts

Currently in shortcuts the only thing that I can do with Strides is log a habit.
I would like the ability to read the information from a habit.
One of the use cases that I’m thinking of is I want to make a Personal Care Index for myself by calculating how I’m doing on my daily habits, and I would like to be able to create a shortcut that does this automatically once a day or week etc.
